Here We Snow Again

If anyone might be wondering what's going on up in Oswego take a guess. Snow!, SNOW! and MORE SNOW!!! Above is a picture taken of the side of our shop. As you can see, it was quite an ordeal retrieving our mail on this day. But as things are frigid on the outside of our building things inside are really starting to heat up. We are underway painting and doing fiberglass work. We will be posting some pics of our work next week. Also, it seems that some very wise fisherman are not waiting to the last minute to get their downriggers and reels tuned up and repaired for this coming season. If you are in need of service now is the time to start thinking about it. We haven't got called out to do any under ice recovery yet but expect that to pic up when things get warmer. If you are going out on the ice please be careful and use good judgment.

Check Out Our New Digs!

Whew!!! Thanks to Greg Harmych Construction and their crew of talented carpenters we were able get our exterior renovations finished just before the snow began to fly. Its nice to be able to work under our new roof and inside our new siding. In spring we hope to have our exterior lighting and signage complete. If you get an opportunity and feel like braving the snow, stop by and visit us.

Festival of Sail and the A-Tom-Mik Challenge this weekend!

It's been very busy here lately at St. Peter's. Lot's of new customers hearing about us and coming in to see that we do much more here than they thought. Downrigger and reel repair, fiberglass and paint. We also have a full time mechanic on duty and of course, our retail shop.

As we were working today, we looked outside our windows to see such an amazing sight! One of the tall ships here for this weekends Festival of Sail. We were able to get a few pictures of one of the boats today as they were taking a trip around near the lighthouse.

What a beautiful Memorial Day weekend we had. On a personal note, my three kids had their first taste of fishing in Oswego. They had a blast! Future charter captain's perhaps? Here are a few pictures from our day of fishing off the docks:
